Spaghetti with asparagus and smoked bacon

250g of any pasta ( I used spaghetti )
1 bunch of fresh asparagus, trimmed and coarsely chopped
8 bacon strips
1 garlic clove, minced
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. olive oil
300ml double cream
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 tsp. salt
green and red chilli, chopped
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
minced fresh parsley for garnish
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add asparagus, cover and boil for 2 minutes. Drain and immediately place in ice water. Drain and pat dry.
In the same skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain. Crumble bacon and set aside. Saute garlic in butter and oil until tender. Stir in double cream; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted. Drain pasta and add to pan. Stir in salt, asparagus and bacon. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, chopped chillies and parsley.
